Why the name "Ego Death Financial"?

"Ego Death" means letting go of ego-driven financial decisions — emotional biases, status-driven choices, and outdated money habits. We help you move past those to build straightforward, tax-efficient plans that actually serve your life.

We created Ego Death Financial to offer clear, tax-efficient planning for professionals and Bitcoiners. After working in corporate finance, I realized many clients weren’t getting the practical, personalized strategies they needed. So, I started this firm to focus on intentional planning that combines insurance, investments, and Bitcoin where appropriate. Our aim is to build financial structures that work well for you — now and in the future — with minimal ongoing maintenance.

I’m Dean Roberts, founder of Ego Death Financial and a Registered Investment Adviser based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I discovered Bitcoin in 2017 and have been passionate about its role in personal finance ever since. I hold Series 6, 63, and 65 licenses and bring experience from both traditional finance and the Bitcoin space.
